FAQ: Print Pickup

What is the wait time for requested items?

Pickups will usually be available within 3-4 business days. You may be contacted earlier. If there is high demand for available print items, it may take longer

If I’m not able to pick-up, how can I get the print items that I need?

If you only need an article or a book chapter, we may be able to scan that content and send it to you.  Within reason, you can also contact us at to request that the items be mailed to your home.

The items I need are currently checked out, what do I do?

The Library may be able to recall books if they have been loaned out to another patron. We will do our best to provide the books that you request, but there may be some books that we are unable to provide access to at this time. To activate a recall, please place a “Hold” on the title via the Library catalogue.

Can I request items from other Libraries?

Interlibrary Loan for print books reopened on September 7, 2021.

You can request up to 10 items at a time.

I cannot come to Campus, how can I return my items?

Library items can be sent by mail to the Library:

Can I access the building to use a washroom?

Public washrooms are located within the building and cleaned daily.  Your OneCard is needed to gain access to the building.

What materials are available for pickup?

At this time we are offering access to print books that are not available electronically on floors that are under renovation.
