Undergraduate and Graduate Students

During registration week, all full and part-time Ryerson undergraduate and graduate students are issued a OneCard; this is your library card. For undergraduate students, loan periods depend on individual items, but generally books may be borrowed for 2 weeks, with 3 renewals. Only 2 reserve items and 3 periodicals/maps may be borrowed at the same time. For graduate students, loan periods depend on items borrowed, but generally most books may be borrowed for 100 days, with 1 renewal. 4 reserve items and 6 periodicals/maps may be borrowed at the same time.

Continuing, Distance and other Chang School Students & LIFE Institute Members

  • get your free library card at the Circulation Desk in the Library by showing a paid fee statement, letter of acceptance or LIFE membership card; or
  • purchase a card for $20.00 from the OneCard Office
  • LIFE Institute members must produce a current LIFE membership card and one piece of photo I/D at the Circulation Desk in order to obtain a library card for access to all library resources, including remote access to library electronic resources, for one full year
