Welcome to Ryerson University Library
The start of a new academic year is always exciting and full of promise and potential. I love everything about the energy of fall term — new classes, new friends, old friends, big ideas, fresh starts, countless “ah ha” moments, and even unanticipated challenges. Ryerson is buzzing and I am thrilled to be part of it all. The Library team is an amazing group of talented, creative and innovative experts who share a commitment to collaboration and a strong service focus. We are committed to the academic success of all students, to supporting excellence in teaching and learning, and to advancing the scholarly, research and creative (SRC) aspirations and achievements of faculty and graduate students.
Whether you are a new to campus or returning for the 2019/20 academic year, or whether you are a student, a faculty member, or part of the Ryerson staff or extended community, I want to take the opportunity to remind you that the Library is here to help you succeed. We offer innovative services and programs; experiential and hands on learning; a rich collection of millions of digital and print information resources (text, data, video, archival etc.); access to and help with the latest in technology tools; space for learning, deep thought and inspiration; digital, information, and research instruction; a multi-disciplinary home for researchers, scholars and creatives; and a shared space where in-class and out-of-class learning converge.
I encourage you to take advantage of everything the Library and the campus has to offer. Come explore, discover, learn, create and share.
Wishing success in all your endeavours,
Carol
