Natural Resources Canada – Earth Sciences: Geomatics – The Canada Centre for Mapping and Earth Observation (CCMEO) is the Government of Canada’s centre of excellence for geomatics, mapping and earth observations.

GeoGratis is a portal provided by the Earth Sciences Sector (ESS) of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) which provides geospatial data such as satellite images, scanned topographic maps (National Topopgraphic System), the Atlas of Canada, Land Inventory and more.
ASTER (Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer) Provides free access to the Global Digital Elevation Model (GDEM), and the North American ASTER Land Surface Emissivity Database (NAALSED).

Students and Faculty in the Department of Civil Engineering may Request ONE copy of ArcGIS Desktop – Student Edition software for academic use (teaching, research, educational purposes). Commercial use of the software is prohibited.
