AccessMedicine from McGraw-Hill Medical is a comprehensive online medical resource that provides a complete spectrum of knowledge from the best minds in medicine, with essential information accessible anywhere.
The ACLS (American Council of Learned Societies) Humanities E-Book Project is a digital collection of over 1,700 full-text titles offered by the ACLS in collaboration with twelve learned societies, nearly 95 contributing publishers, and librarians at the University of Michigan’s Scholarly Publishing Office.

The Berg Fashion Library is a unique online portal which offers fully cross-searchable access to an expanding range of Berg content collections – including the Berg Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion online, e-books, reference works, images, and much more. Students and scholars in disciplines as diverse as anthropology, art history, history, sociology, geography, folklore, museum studies, theatre, and cultural studies as well as fashion and textiles will find the Berg Fashion Library a treasury of fascinating insights into people and cultures all over the world.
Cognet – is a growing collection of searchable electronic texts for cognitive and brain sciences. The Library contains works from the MIT Press, as well as content and links to resources from other publishers, professional associations, institutions, and individuals who are willing to share public access to online work.
Cognet includes the full text of MIT Press cognitive science books.
Early English Books Online (EEBO)
The aim of the Early English Books Online Project is to capture the earliest extant edition of every English-language work published during the first two centuries of printing in England, and converting this material into fully-searchable texts. Over 25,000 texts from the first phase of EEBO-TCP have been made freely available as open data in the public domain from January 2015.
eBooks on EBSCOhost consists of over 6,000 titles on all subjects.
Ryerson has purchased Science Direct Textbook collection, which include ebooks in the following subject areas: Chemistry, Computing, Criminal Justice & Law,Earth & Environmental Science, Engineering, Forensic Science and Psychology, Life Sciences, Math/Statistics, Media Technology, Neuroscience,Physics and Security. We only have purchased those titles that are published from 2008 to 2013. Content is also enabled for mobility—reading/research material can be downloaded and accessed on most student friendly devices such as iPad, eReader, and iPhone.
IEEE Xplore is a digital library providing full text access to the world’s highest quality technical literature in electrical engineering, computer science, biomedical and aerospace. IEEE Xplore contains full text documents from IEEE journals, magazines, conference proceedings, standards, books, transactions, letters, and IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) publications.
Knovel provides a collection of the leading science and engineering reference handbooks, databases and conference proceedings. Approximately 1,600 titles are included.
The Morgan and Claypool Digital Library consists of 50- to 100- page “lectures” which are self-contained e-books synthesizing an important research or development topic. Each is authored by an expert in the field.
Oxford Reference Online comprises more than 120 dictionaries and reference titles covering a comprehensive subject spectrum including: General Reference, Language, Science and Medicine, Humanities and Social Sciences, Business and Professional content.
Launched by Oxford University Press in 1995, Very Short Introductions offer concise introductions to a diverse range of subject areas from Climate to Consciousness, Game Theory to Ancient Warfare, Privacy to Islamic History, Economics to Literary Theory. Very Short Introductions are now available on this new online resource, offering scholars and students OUP’s premier publishing series in an easily discoverable, fully cross-searchable, and highly accessible format. This series only has a one user license across the platform therefore only one person can read a book at a time.
PsycBOOKS provides online access to the fulltext from books and chapters published by the American Psychological Association (APA). The collection contains 1264 titles (including 100 out of print titles, 120 archival resources, and 600 classic psychology titles). Also included is the 8 volume Encyclopedia of Psychology. PsycBooks is available via Scholars Portal Books.

Sage Reference Online
Ryerson subscribes to the 2013 package of Sage Reference and Sage Handbooks. This provide access to 25 titles. That include The Sage Handbook of Public Administration (2nd ed.); The Sage Handbook of Aging, Work and Society( 2nd ed.) ; Handbook of Transnational Crime and Justice (2nd ed.); The Sage Handbook of Conflict Communication (2nd ed.) ; The Sage Handbook of Strategic Supply Management: Relationship, Chains, Networks and Sectors; The Sage Handbook of Gender and Psychology ; Handbook of International Relations (2nd ed). 25 titles are available through Sage Knowledge platform.
SAGE Research Methods contains content from more than 640 books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and handbooks, the entire “Little Green Book,” and Little Blue Book” series, two Major Works collating a selection of journal articles, and newly commissioned videos.

Scholars Portal Books provides access to over 40,000 ebook titles from Springer, Taylor and Francis, Cambridge and Oxford as well as to 100,000 freely available titles from the Internet Archive.
SPIE Digital Library – is the most extensive resource available on optics, photonics, optoelectronics and imaging, providing unprecedented access to more than 200,000 technical papers from SPIE Journals and Conference Proceedings from 1990 to the present. More than 17,000 new technical papers are added annually.
Springer e-books – Providing researchers with access to millions of scientific documents from journals, books, series, protocols and reference works.
Taylor & Francis eBook Collections has access to over 15,000 ebooks from across the humanities and social sciences. Also includes CRCnetBASE publications such as the complete ENGnetBASE collection of engineering ebooks and titles from ITECHnetBASE related to information technology.
