Can I have a tour?

Sure! You can contact collab@ryerson.ca to organize a tour.

Do I need a defined project to use the space?

Ryerson Faculty are always allowed to use the space and explore the technology within it. Please contact collab@ryerson.ca to organize door access to the room.

Students are welcome to use the DME Lab for their individual projects or coursework.

I am a Ryerson Faculty member and I would like a technology tutorial. 

The Collaboratory offers one-on-one training sessions for all the technologies available in the lab. We will also be offering workshops, which will be updated through the Library’s website.

I am a Ryerson Faculty member looking for workspace for my research assistants. Can they work in the Collaboratory?

Yes! Please fill out the Projects form and include the names of your RA’s that you would like to authorize in the space.

I am a Ryerson Undergraduate student interested in learning more about technology or for space to work.

The Collaboratory and the Digital Media Experience Lab are both under the oversight of the LITS team. The DME Lab is located on the third floor of the Student Learning Centre – SLC 308. The DME Lab offers technology resources, such as high end computers, 3D printers, VR/AR technologies and camera/audio equipment rentals . The DME Lab staff are trained to teach you how to use these machines and offer workshops and tutorials.
