Effective Monday, June 6, the Library’s Service Desk on the 5th floor will be closed. There has been a decline in the volume of assistance that’s needed on the floor over the last few years, as the Library migrated from print to digital journal collections. The closure allows the Library to shift staffing to focus on areas that need additional support.
There will be a continued staff presence on the 5th floor, and they will continue to assist with any issues relating to the photocopiers and microfiche readers. Any patrons requiring help with accessing the journal collections can visit the iDesk on the main floor of the Library. Many thanks to the dedicated Library staff on the 5th floor who helped assist patrons over the years!
