Library Opening at 7 a.m.!

Attention early risers!  Beginning this week until the end of the exam period in April, the Library will be opening at 7 a.m., Monday to Friday.  During this pilot, we’ll be examining usage patterns to determine if we should continue with earlier openings in the future.    Love this idea?  Let us know – use the comments feature, or tell us over Twitter.   More information on hours is available on our website.

  1. DEFINITELY! having access to printers before an 8am class is so helpful when one has a busted printer at home!

  2. I think it’s a great idea to open the library up at 7 a.m. Monday to Friday, especially if you have a class at 8 a.m. and need to print off an assignment or notes prior to the beginning of class.

  3. I love it!!! At the beginning of the year, I was hoping the library would open by 7:30AM but 7AM is even better. Thanks!

  4. Fantastic! I can beat rush hour and start studying earlier in the day, allowing me to get the important stuff out of the way and make room to relax and sleep sooner. I also agree with the comments about preparing for those 8am classes.

    • Hi Alicia – due the hours of operation of the TTC, (subways stop at 1:30 a.m.) and the reliance of staff and students on this mode of transportation, this was one of the primary reasons for the current closing time.
