You may have noticed the changes to our Proquest interface over the last number of weeks. Since the migration, we have experienced some issues with Proquest timing out. While Proquest is designed to timeout after 30 minutes, that feature is currently not working and some users may experience timeouts after only a few minutes or upon launching a new session. The timeout message looks like this:
Proquest is aware of the problem and is working on a resolution. In the meantime, we recommend that users start a new session, which may require you to reselect which databases to search. For example, if you were working in Proquest Dissertations & Theses, you may have to reselect that database.
If you were redirected from the Get It @ Ryerson button, go back to the Get It window and try to connect to Proquest again.
