Publisher’s Synopsis

In these passionate and beautiful poems, Kaushalya Bannerji invites readers to accompany her on many journeys over the intimately familiar yet often surprising territory of a lover’s body. Her poems dare to venture into war zones both personal and political. Bannerji’s voice is defiant and rebellious, gentle and irresistibly sensual. She brings with her a proud consciousness of her own identity as a lesbian of colour.
